QUICK HOW-TO INSTRUCTIONS
Go to Shipping Rate Chart
To request expedited service on any order, simply:
- Insert the phrase "UPS Second Day Air" or "UPS Next Day Air" in the Special Instructions section of the Payment screen, and
- Indicate in the same space if you wish to be notified of the shipping cost by email before your package ships.
In response, we will determine the correct rate charge from the price range found in the below shipping rate chart and apply it to the final receipt we will send with your order. Or if you request pre-notification, we will send you that information via email for your approval. Once we receive your approval, we will proceed with your shipment. Please note that this added communication step may delay shipment. Once your package ships, we will send your tracking number via email. Further supporting information is available below.

Highland Coffees is committed to bringing you the finest coffees, teas, and related products in the most efficient and speedy way possible. The following information covers complete options and details related to expedited shipment of our products. Please contact us if we can make your shipping experience with us better.
Shipment Carrier
Highland Coffees ships all its orders via the US Postal Service and via UPS using Standard Ground Shipping but offers its customers the option of receiving shipments via UPS Second Day Air or UPS Next Day Air to addresses in the continental United States. Rates for these services vary by weight and by the distance from Highland Coffees the package is being sent. (See rate chart below.) Expedited delivery is not available for P.O. Boxes, and Highland Coffees only ships within the continental United States at this time. Please contact us via email with any questions about shipping Second Day Air or Next Day Air.
Time to Shipment
Most orders are shipped within two days of placement on business days, pending credit card authorization. (Note: UPS does not receive packages for shipment on the weekend.) Even if you have chosen an expedited shipping method (UPS Second Day Air or UPS Next Day Air), please note that your order may still take two days to be filled before being shipped.
Transit Days
Orders placed with UPS Second Day Air generally arrive in two business days after shipment. Orders shipped using UPS Next Day Air generally arrive one day after shipment. Saturday delivery is available for Second Day Air and Next Day Air for an additional UPS charge. If the transit time for your expedited shipment includes a weekend, it may take longer for your package to arrive.
Shipping Charges Overview
Our goal at Highland Coffees is to make the shipping of our products as easy to arrange and as affordable for customers as we can. In order to achieve this goal, we absorb part of the shipping costs that are incurred. Shipping charges are based on the weight of the packages being sent. The below Shipping Rate Chart outlines our shipping charges. Specific information related to expedited shipping charges includes the following:
- Expedited Shipping Charges
For expedited services, your shipping charge will vary depending on which part of the country you live in. In our below shipping chart, a price range is shown for each expedited shipping method and for every package weight. The closer you live to Highland Coffees, the lower your charge will be within both price ranges. You can receive the exact cost for an expedited shipment before your products are shipped by following the below instructions in Expedited Fee Notification. - Special Shipping or Handling
For any order requiring special shipping or handling procedures, extra fees may be charged. We will notify you before processing if extra charges will be due. If you have any questions regarding shipping or if any special shipping arrangements are needed, please contact us via email.

Tracking
To aid you in tracking your order once it has been shipped, a UPS tracking number will be sent to you by email at order shipment time. To track your shipment, enter your tracking number on http://www.ups.com/.

How to Request Expedited Service
To request expedited service for your order, after selecting your products and advancing to the Payment screen of your order (simply continue through the Shipping screen where the service is listed as "Standard"), please insert the phrase "UPS Second Day Air" or "UPS Next Day Air" in the Special Instructions section of the Payment screen. We will determine the correct rate charge from the price range found in the above chart to be reflected on the final invoice and provide you with a tracking number that will be emailed to you upon shipment.
Expedited Fee Notification
If you wish us to contact you with the cost of the expedited shipment prior to charging your card, please request this information in the Special Instructions section of the Payment screen of your order where you have requested expedited service. If you request pre-notification, we will send you that information via email for your approval. Once we receive your approval, we will proceed with your shipment. Please note that this added communication step may delay shipment.
Final Invoice for Expedited Orders
Because expedited shipment is an added service to orders, please note that shipping charges will not be updated on the online order summary, the online invoice, or in the emails you receive in association with your order. Instead, the expedited shipment charge will be determined and added to your total once your order is received. For your records we will send with your product shipment a final invoice reflecting the amounts for both your ordered products and the expedited shipment fees we have charged to your card.
Multiple Locations
Information about shipping to multiple locations is available in the Shipping Policies and Guidelines. Expedited service is available for shipment to multiple locations if specified.
Recurring Orders
Information on requesting multiple recurring orders, if you would like to receive the same order on a regular basis without having to place the order online each time, is located in the Recurring Orders section. Expedited service is available for shipment for recurring orders.
How to Save on Shipping
Shipping more coffee at a time lowers the cost of shipping per pound of coffee. Also, the shipping price for two pounds of coffee is the same as the price for one pound. You may want to find a balance between trying to save on shipping and having fresh coffee beans at home. If you order too much coffee, your shipping costs may be lower but your coffee will take longer to consume and will thus not be as fresh through the entire supply.
Return Shipments/Policy
Exchanges or requests for refunds must follow the guidelines outlined in our Return Policy and Procedures. Highland Coffees has a 45-day return policy on all its products sold through this website. Please do not send products back without first contacting us because in some cases products do not need to be returned. If products are returned without contacting Highland Coffees first, you may be responsible for paying the return shipping costs. Returns must be initiated within forty-five days from the date of shipping to the customer to be eligible for refund or replacement.
